Hi, I'm Queren King!

I’m a visual artist based in Kansas, working across photography, drawing, painting, and writing. My work is an act of slowing down , creating images and stories that hold space for connection, presence.

I believe the most meaningful photographs are not always the perfectly posed ones. They are the small, honest moments: a shared glance, a familiar routine, a quiet laugh, a hand held, a personality shining through. My work is centered around noticing those moments and preserving the stories that make each person and family unique.

Photography has been a way for me to connect with people and document life. Alongside photography, my creative practice includes watercolor, ink, and writing. In form of storytelling.

As a special needs parent, I’ve also learned that every family’s story looks different. That understanding has shaped the way I approach my work: with patience, flexibility, and a desire to create spaces where people feel comfortable being fully themselves.

Whether through a photograph, a painting, or a written story, my goal is the same: to create meaningful work that honors connection, belonging, and the beauty of being human.
